This was an excellent tour for ‘fit, active people’. Those used to being off the beaten track, simple ammenities and being outdoors with wildlife and insects. Safety standards vary all over the world and you need to be comfortable with narrow ledges, steep uneven steps and an Inca Trail made a long time ago with no WH&S ; and being exposed to elements of the outdoors for the duration of the tour. This tour activated all the senses and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The Inca Trail is not the only reason you need to be fit, as the rest of the tour is also demanding. Age is not a limit as long as you have high fitness and agility.
